Where and how to store research data?

Most funders require researchers to publish research data resulting from publicly funded research in open access. This data must be stored in repositories or data archives.
It is necessary to choose an appropriate trusted repository for data storage.

n the online lecture, we will provide the criteria that a trusted repository must meet and examples of such repositories. Next, we will present how to describe research datasets with metadata to conform to the FAIR principles.

In the practical part of the lecture, we will present how data sets are inserted into the repositories of the national open access infrastructure, which consists of the Repository of the University of Ljubljana, the Digital Library of the University of Maribor, the Repository of the University of Primorska, the Repository of the University of Nova Gorica, the Digital Repository of Research Organizations of Slovenia and the Repository independent higher education and higher education organizations.
