As of September 2022, the reference lists of more than 60 million scientific publications indexed by Crossref are fully publicly available. This achievement is the result of more than five years of efforts by the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC).
The White House Is Calling for Immediate Open Access to All Publicly Funded Scientific Articles by 2025
On 25 August 2022, the White House ordered that by the end of 2025, federal agencies must publish all publicly funded publications, including the research data on which they were based, in open access free of charge.

Data Stewardship Certificate Course at Uni Wien
From October 2022 onwards, the University of Vienna offers a formal data stewardship certificate course, which will take place mostly online. The course will be in English. Applications are open until 21 August 2022.

The Council of the European Union Issued Guidelines for the Reform of Research Assesment and the Implementation of Open Science
On 10 June 2022, the EU ministers responsible for research adopted three sets of guidelines on international cooperation in the field of research and innovation, on the promotion of open science policies and on the implementation of European missions, which include the reform of research assessment.
